The Technology Behind Intelistock

The Intelistock platform was built from the ground up using Microsoft's latest and most advanced development platform (C# .NET). Intelistock is a Windows-based application and as such it does not suffer from the delays Web-based services are associated with. Streaming data from trading systems arrives directly to your desktop in milliseconds. Data compression algorithms ensure the fastest possible access since large amounts of data can be transferred over regular internet connections to Intelistock's client software.
The system's user interface employs a unique design approach you rarely see in similar applications. To speed up processing, a local database stores all necessary information (such as historical data) for fast retrieval. Full redundancy is accomplished via dedicated connections to the exchanges as well as a state of the art network, database infrastructure and redundant data feed servers.

Dynamic Desktops

Intelistock’s workspace is fully customizable. An unlimited number of desktops can be defined with each desktop containing any number of real time data windows, historic data grids, charts, Level 2 data, and other platform tools. Real-time quote forms can be defined by dragging any instrument from the Instrument Explorer and dropping it on any form. Forms can contain any kind of instrument, from any of the available exchanges.

Each desktop can be given a name and saved for later retrieval. Information such as window placement and size, selected instruments, chart types, and other properties are all saved as part of the desktop. Desktops can span across multiple monitors. Visual guides help you reposition windows anywhere on the screen or within other windows

Comprehensive Feature Set

Intelistock doesn’t just allow you to view real-time market data. The platform’s charting and technical analysis capabilities are now becoming the benchmark in the markets Intelistock operates on. Real-time news and announcements, dynamic portfolio valuation, transaction ticker, instrument/sector comparisons, top gainers/losers, embedded web browsing, fundamental data, dividend information, market overview, export in Excel, Metastock data, world indices, exchange rates and commodities data are only some of the tools the platform provides.

	Intelistock Functionality
	Streaming CSE Quotes and Indices
	For all securities traded on Arena, the following streaming real time information is provided: Open price, hi price, low price, last transaction, difference from last transaction, mid price, bid, offer, difference from last close price, percentage difference from last close price, best bid made, best offer made, number of transactions, volume in shares, volume in money, market capitalization, P/E ratio, number of issued shares and each transaction's volume and execution time. For all BSE indices, including the general index, the following values are provided: Current price, open, high, low, close, last close, difference from last close, and percentage difference from last close.
	Level 1 and Level 2 Data
	Subscribers can choose between Level I or Level II data. Level 1 data provides the best bid and best offer, together with the corresponding volumes and individual trades for all BSE traded securities Level 2 data provides the 5 best bids and 5 best offers, together with their corresponding volumes, in addition to all data included in Level 1. Level 2 data is also displayed in a graphical form for better visualization of market trends.
	Customized Forms
	Everything in Intelistock is fully customizable. For example, any number of real-time prices forms can be defined by the investor by dragging any instrument from the instrument explorer and dropping it in any form. Forms can contain both securities and indices at the same time and the columns displayed in each form can be also be customized.
	Multiple Desktops
	Intelistock's flexible design allows you to define and save an unlimited number of desktops. Each desktop (workspace) can contain any number of real time data windows, historic data forms, charts, Level 2 data pop-ups and other platform tools. 	Intelistock fully supports the use of multiple monitors for maximum efficiency and flexibility. Desktops can span across multiple monitors and you can quickly and easily navigate from monitor to monitor by simply moving your mouse across your screen.
	Historic Data
	Intelistock comes with a continuously growing data bank. Daily market values and data since January 2000 are provided. Historic Data is stored in a database on your computer to reduce the required data retrieval.
	Interactive Graphs
	An advanced charting engine provides real-time graphs on securities and indices as well as historic quote graphs. On June 1st 2005, charting capabilities will be significantly extended to include real-time and historic technical analysis with the ability to superimpose up to 30 trading days of intraday data in one single graph. A rich set of tools such as zooming, drawing, printing and exporting is also available
	Portfolio Valuation
	InteliStock's portfolio management features are unique among similar programs in the market. The investor has the ability to define unlimited number of portfolios and track their performance in real tim e . More specifically, realized and unrealized profit/loss for each security and for each portfolio are automatically calculated during the BSE session. All important information that pertain to the securities held in each portfolio are presented on the screen together with each security's average cost, total cost, current price and current value. All transactions are stored for future reference. Transactions can be backdated and there is also functionality for storing commission s and other expenses . Multicurrency support is also included. Portfolio details and positions can be printed using the system's online reporting facilities.
	Alerts
	Alerts is one of Intelistock's strongest features. The investor can define unlimited number of alerts with the ability to mark them as active or inactive. Alerts are triggered when the defined conditions are met. Currently, the system supports SMS and E-Mail alerts.
